A new batch of adhesives and adhesive tape standards will be formally implemented

Column:Industry information Time:2018-12-15

The promulgation and implementation of national and industrial standards is a major event concerning the development of the industry. Recently, China's adhesives and adhesive tape industry has implemented three new industry standards, abolished two national standards, and there are ten national standards related to adhesives and adhesive tape industry will soon be implemented. In order to enable the whole industry to grasp and follow up the new progress of various standards, the China Adhesive and Adhesive tape Industry Association has collected and collated a number of announcements recently issued, focusing on the interpretation of the new changes in national standards and industry standards of China's adhesives and adhesives industry.

I. Ten new national standards to be implemented (sorted by implementation date)

1. Measurement of warpage of adhesive tape GB/T 34712-2017

It will be implemented on May 1, 2018.

This standard specifies the test method for the warpage property of adhesive tape. It is suitable for measuring the warpage of adhesive tape by winding method.

2. Determination of solubility of pressure sensitive adhesives GB/T 34716-2017

It will be implemented on May 1, 2018.

This standard specifies the determination method of solubility of pressure sensitive adhesives. It is suitable for the determination of solubility of pressure sensitive adhesives in aqueous or alkaline solutions.

3. GB/T 14074-2017 Wood Industry Adhesives and Their Resin Testing Method

The current standard GB/T 14074-2006 will be replaced and implemented from July 1, 2018.

This standard specifies the testing methods of adhesives and resins for wood industry. It is suitable for the determination of the appearance, density, viscosity, pH value and solid content of melamine modified urea-formaldehyde resin, phenolic resin and melamine-formaldehyde resin for wood industry adhesives.

4. Urea-formaldehyde, phenolic and melamine-formaldehyde resins for wood industrial adhesives GB/T 14732-2017

The current standard GB/T 14732-2006 will be replaced and implemented from July 1, 2018.

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of urea-formaldehyde, phenolic, melamine-formaldehyde resins for wood industrial adhesives and urea-formaldehyde, phenolic and melamine-formaldehyde resins for impregnation. It is suitable for all kinds of wood adhesives and impregnating resins synthesized by condensation of formaldehyde with urea or phenol or melamine as main raw materials. It is also suitable for synthetic resins with partial substitution of melamine, phenol and urea and partial copolycondensation of phenol with resorcinol.

5. Guidelines for Aging Conditions of Adhesives GB/T 35489-2017

It will be implemented on July 1, 2018.

This standard gives a guide for the selection of the ageing state of adhesives in standard laboratory conditions. It is suitable for evaluating the effects of various aging environments (climate or chemistry) on adhesive bonds, but the results obtained by using this standard can not be used to determine the service life of adhesive parts.

6. Test methods for isotropic conductive adhesives GB/T 35494.1-2017 Part 1: General methods

It will be implemented on July 1, 2018.

This section provides a general test method for isotropic conductive adhesives. It is suitable for the determination of basic properties of isotropic conductive adhesives.

7. Test method for cohesive morphology changes of elastic sealants exposed to dynamic artificial climate ageing

It will be implemented on July 1, 2018.

This standard specifies the test method of cohesive deformation and appearance change of elastic sealant after exposure to artificial climate and periodic deformation. It is suitable for evaluating the appearance, number, width and depth of cohesive cracks of elastic sealants after dynamic aging. It can provide a reference for evaluating the dynamic aging properties of sealants.

8. GB/T 14683-2017 Silicone and Modified Silicone Building Sealant

The current standard GB/T 14683-2003 will be replaced and implemented on August 1, 2018.

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, packaging, transportation and storage of silicone and modified silicone building sealant products. It is suitable for general decoration, decoration and non-structural assembly of curtain wall, as well as modified silicone sealant for building joints and shrinkage displacement joints.

9. GB/T 34557-2017 Latex for Mortar and Concrete and Redispersible Latex Powder

It will be implemented on September 1, 2018.

This standard specifies the classification, general requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, factory, packaging, transportation and storage of latex and redispersible latex powder for mortar and concrete.

10. GB/T36060-2018 Hardcover Books Adhesive Process Control Requirements and Inspection Method of Water-based Adhesives

It will be implemented on October 1, 2018.

This standard specifies the terminology and definition of water-based adhesives used in hardcover book processing, raw material requirements, production environment requirements, quality requirements and inspection methods of finished products, storage and transportation of finished products. It is suitable for the process control of hardcover book processing, such as core bonding ring lining, sweeping lining, back brushing base glue, book case edge wrapping, product quality requirements, etc. with water-based adhesives.

II. Three New Industry Standards Implemented in the Recent Period

1. HG/T 5247-2017 Single Component Thermal Curable Epoxy Structural Adhesive

It will be implemented on April 1, 2018.

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marks, packaging, transportation and storage of one-component heat-curable epoxy structural adhesives. It is suitable for single component heat curable epoxy structural adhesives for automobile body, high speed railway, metro, structures which are not easy to weld and bolted.

2. HG/T 5248-2017 Epoxy Structural Adhesive for Wind Turbine Blades

It will be implemented on April 1, 2018.

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of epoxy structural adhesives for wind turbine blades. It is suitable for epoxy structural adhesives for wind turbine blades.
